Can I use any router with Midco?
Approved Modems When you use internet service from Midco, we require you use an approved cable modem that’s qualified to work with our network – whether you lease a modem from Midco or bring your own. (Note that different equipment is used for fiber internet or fixed wireless internet service.)
How do I access my Midco router?
Open your web browser, and type 192.168. 0.1 into the web address/URL. Press Enter. On the login page for your modem, leave the username and password fields blank.
How do you reset Midco router?
Log in to your account in the My Account app (available in the App Store and Google Play1). Select Services from the bottom menu. Choose Internet and then Reset My Equipment. If the reset is successful, a message will display in the app.
Why is my Midco internet so slow?
If the internet speeds are fine on most devices, but seems slow on one, try turning the device off and back on again. Older devices may not be able to get the same speeds as newer devices. Older devices may also slow down the internet speeds on all your devices connected to the same network.

Improve My Internet Speeds
- Check your cables and wires.
- Reboot your modem, and then test your speeds again.
- Disconnect from any VPNs.
- Turn off or disable the Wi-Fi on your computer(s), and power off your wireless router or access point.
- Then perform the speed test on a hard-wired device to avoid any interference.
Can I bring my own modem or router to Midco?
We’re not able to provide technical support for third-party equipment that’s not provided by Midco. Even if you bring your own modem or router, it must be compatible with our network. See our approved modems list below for details. Midco internet service requires one of these modems.

Midco tests and certifies specific modems to work with our network – to ensure they deliver the speed and capacity our customers expect, as well as meet our network requirements. Important: As of June 30, 2021, any non-Midco provided modem must have DOCSIS 3.1 technology.
