Novonorm 0.5 mg Tablet 15’s belongs to the group of medicines called “anti-diabetic” indicated in the treatment of type 2 diabetes or non-insulin-dependent diabetes (NIDDM). This medicine is primarily prescribed to persons whose blood sugar levels are high and is even not controlled by diet and exercise alone.
When should NovoNorm be taken?
Method of administration: Doses are taken orally usually within 15 minutes of the meal but time may vary from immediately preceding the meal to as long as 30 minutes before the meal (i.e. preprandially 2, 3, or 4 meals a day).
What is the medicine repaglinide used for?
Repaglinide is used together with diet and exercise to treat high blood sugar (glucose) levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. Repaglinide works by causing your pancreas to release more insulin into the blood stream. This medicine does not help patients who have insulin-dependent or type 1 diabetes.

How long does repaglinide stay in your system?
After single and multiple oral doses in healthy subjects or in patients, peak plasma drug levels (Cmax) occur within 1 hour (Tmax). Repaglinide is rapidly eliminated from the Page 2 – 2 – blood stream with a half-life of approximately 1 hour.
